En la ceremonia, que se llevará a cabo el domingo 24 de noviembre en el Teatro Nokia de Los Ángeles, se reconocerá a lo mejor de la música en Estados Unidos durante 2013.
La cantante Jennifer Lopez realizará un tributo especial a Celia Cruz como parte de la celebración por los 15 años que esta entrega tiene con la categoría de Álbum Latino.
Katy Perry será la encargada de abrir el “show” con su segundo sencillo “Unconditionally”, de su nuevo álbum Prism, se indicó mediante un comunicado.
En el evento, que será conducido por primera vez por Pitbull, TLC se presentará con un invitado especial, marcando así su regreso al escenario de los AMA.
Estos artistas se unen a la lista de otras estrellas antes anunciadas, como Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha e Imagine Dragons.
Asimismo, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, One Direction y Justin Timberlake.
Los American Music Awards se otorgan por votación de los fans. Por séptimo año consecutivo los ganadores serán seleccionados por votaciones en línea.
